About this center
Cave and technical diving center in Playa del Carmen. Cenote cavern tours, full cave training, and Caribbean reef diving with bull sharks (seasonal).
Playa Cave Divers offers the best of both worlds: Yucatan cenote diving and Caribbean reef diving from a single base in Playa del Carmen. The center runs daily cenote trips to Chac Mool, Chikin Ha, and Tajma Ha, while boat dives access the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
The seasonal bull shark dive (November to March) is a major draw — descending to the sandy bottom at 25 meters where up to 20 bull sharks cruise overhead. Technical courses through TDI/SDI cover full cave, trimix, and advanced sidemount configurations.
PADI recreational courses from Open Water through Instructor. Night dives on the reef reveal octopus, spotted eagle rays, and nurse sharks. The center's dual focus attracts divers wanting variety: morning cenote, afternoon reef, evening bull sharks (in season). Trimix fills for extended cave exploration.
