Founding Divers · Cohort 1

Help us build an honest dive log.

A small group of experienced divers gets early TestFlight builds of DiveOne and a direct line to the team. DiveOne is a dive logger and logbook for Apple Watch and iPhone. It is not a dive computer.

Who this is for

We review every application by hand. The first cohort is 10 to 15 divers, because that is how many people the team can actually support well.

Eligibility

  • Advanced Open Water (AOWD) or higher, from any training agency.
  • You already dive with your own dive computer and plan to keep doing so.
  • You own a supported Apple Watch (Ultra, or Series 10 or newer) and an iPhone.
  • You have dives coming up and are willing to send short, structured feedback after them.

What we ask of you

  • Always dive with your own independent dive computer. DiveOne does not replace it.
  • Try DiveOne on dives where that fits your plan, and log what happened.
  • Send a short feedback form after the dives you choose to report.
  • Tell us plainly when something is wrong, confusing, or missing.

What you get

A direct line to the team
Questions and bug reports go straight to the people building DiveOne, not to a ticket queue.
Roadmap input
You see what we plan to build next and tell us what matters to you before we commit to it.
Early TestFlight builds
Accepted divers get pre-release builds through Apple TestFlight before they reach the App Store.

What DiveOne is

  • An honest shallow logger: native Apple Watch depth recording up to 6 m in the current release.
  • An iPhone logbook that works without an account.
  • Portable data: you can export your dive history and take it elsewhere.
  • Clear about status: the status page shows the current state of the main capabilities.

What DiveOne is not

  • Not a dive computer. It gives no NDL, decompression, gas, ascent or safety-stop guidance.
  • Not a deep recorder. Recording beyond 6 m needs a separate Apple entitlement that DiveOne has not been granted. We do not promise a date.
  • Not a medical or health device, and not a substitute for training, a buddy, or a dive plan.
  • TestFlight builds follow the same limits as the App Store version.

How the program works

1. Apply
Fill in the form below. It takes about three minutes.
2. Review
We read every application and reply by email, whether or not there is a place in the current cohort.
3. TestFlight
If accepted, you get a TestFlight invitation at the email you gave us.
4. Feedback
After the dives you choose to report, you send a short structured feedback form.

DiveOne is not offered on the App Store in the European Union at the moment. You can still apply from the EU, but we cannot promise access there yet.

Safety acknowledgement

Every Founding Diver confirms this before joining:

  • I will always dive with my own independent dive computer and follow my training, my certification limits and my dive plan.
  • I understand that DiveOne is not a dive computer and gives no decompression, NDL, gas, ascent or safety-stop information.
  • I will not use DiveOne, or any pre-release build of it, to make safety decisions underwater.
  • I understand that pre-release builds can contain bugs and may lose or misrecord data.

Fields marked * are required. We only ask what we need to review your application.

We reply here and send the TestFlight invitation here if you are accepted.

DiveOne is a recreational dive tracking and logbook tool. It is not a dive computer and does not replace professional diving equipment. Always dive within your training and certification limits.
