⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – What a ripper week at Walindi! Just got back from a week at Walindi Plantation Resort and honestly, it was unreal. The diving was absolutely top-notch — some of the best we’ve ever done — and the volcano hike was bloody awesome! The bungalows were spot-on: super clean, comfy as, and those water views are something else. Food was simple but seriously tasty — good honest meals that hit the spot after a big day out. The staff were all legends, super friendly and always looking out for you. Massive shout-out to the dive crew who went above and beyond every day — you guys made the trip. And big thanks to Brian being an absolute champ of a guide as well as James and Miriam for putting up with our antics all week! If you’re keen for epic dives, good vibes, and proper PNG hospitality, this place is the go. Can’t wait to come back!
October 19, 2025We recently stayed at Walindi Resort and had a wonderful experience. While the first couple of days had limited vegan options, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. By our final night, they had really stepped up their game, offering three different clearly-marked vegan dishes on the menu. The location is beautiful, with fantastic diving opportunities, and the resort's rich history adds to its charm. The open spaces and comfortable rooms made for a relaxing stay. The staff's willingness to improve and their helpful attitude throughout made a big difference. We'll definitely be returning to enjoy more of their hospitality and the amazing diving experience they offer.
February 24, 2025Walindi Plantation Resort is a fantastic destination for diving enthusiasts and nature lovers. Nestled on the beautiful Kimbe Bay, the resort offers easy access to some of the world’s best coral reefs and marine biodiversity. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help with dive planning or general assistance. Accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, with stunning views of the bay and surrounding rainforest. The resort has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for both adventure and relaxation. Dining options are good, featuring fresh local seafood and international dishes. Whether you’re diving, snorkeling, or simply enjoying the tropical scenery, Walindi Plantation Resort is a memorable and top-notch stay in West New Britain.
September 17, 2025We dived, ate and relaxed at Walindi for 8 days. Every person we met was delightful and helpful. We enjoyed chatting and joking with staff, we enjoyed the excellent dive guidance. The diving was small groups, often just the two of us. And just our group at all the dive sites. No underwater crowds here. The sites were lovely; amazing corals and schooling fish, fantastic topography. I saw the biggest school of Barramundi I’ve ever seen, and even one manta. We were escorted by spinning dolphins on four of our seven dive trips. The Walindi resort is beautiful and the bungalow spotless and comfortable. Butterflies and birds fill the air. We walked up the volcano and enjoyed the eerie sight at the top. We have both travelled a lot, Walindi is now definitely a favourite place. A special mention for all the dive staff. We loved hanging out with you guys.
July 15, 2025The environment is beautiful and the diving experience is great. However, the rooms lack AC and there are mosquitoes and even a mouse inside. The food is delicious, but many guests experienced stomach issues afterward. Overall, it’s a nice place with good experiences, but it doesn’t quite justify the very high cost.
