About this center
Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Divers combines diving with the rich maritime history of the ancient port of Halicarnassus. Bodrum hosts one of the world's finest museums of underwater archaeology in the crusader Castle of St. Peter, providing context for the wrecks and amphora fields found on local dives.
Dive sites include cargo ship wrecks with scattered amphora, reef walls dropping to 40 meters, and the volcanic rock formations of the Karaada (Black Island) area. Marine life includes octopus, groupers, moray eels, barracuda, and nudibranchs — typical of the eastern Mediterranean's rich ecosystem.
PADI and CMAS courses from beginner through advanced. The center runs year-round, with water temperatures from 16C in winter to 28C in summer. Night dives in Bodrum harbor are a unique experience with illuminated medieval castle walls above and hunting octopus below. German-speaking instructors. Nitrox available for deeper wreck profiles.
