My experience with Thailand Master Liveaboards aboard The Phinisi was truly outstanding. From the moment I stepped on board, everything felt professional, relaxed, and exceptionally well organized. The crew is incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. Their knowledge of underwater wildlife is impressive and adds so much value to every dive. You can truly feel their passion and dedication to making your trip unforgettable. The food was excellent, with every meal being something to look forward to. The boat itself is beautiful, featuring cozy and comfortable cabins and a lovely common living area where you can relax between dives. The large sundeck, half shaded and half sunny, is perfect for unwinding, enjoying the views, or simply taking a moment to yourself. The daily program was clear and well-structured, with thorough briefings so you always knew what to expect. Overall, this was without a doubt one of the best , if not the very best, liveaboard experiences I have ever had. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional diving adventure in Thailand.

I lead 5-6 group trips a year, 2 of which are Liveaboards trips. Last March we went to Maldives with Master Liveaboards (the first of many Master Liveaboards trips) and it was a phenomenal experience for me as the lead, and my guests! Master made it easy to book and helped with travel logistics, the vessels was beautiful and crew were customer service focused. It was probably the best Liveaboard experience I have had to date! I am looking forward to the next trip with Master Liveaboards! Thailand 2026 can’t come soon enough!!

I did Galapagos Masters, 8 days from San Cristóbal. Amazing boat, cabins, food and crew. I felt very safe and everybody was very professional. Captain: Miguel Bartender: Hans Laundry: Luis Mechanic: Wilson and Carlos Pangas: Carlos and Jason Guides: Iván and Jacob Kitchen: Edward and Eddison Expensive and worth the money. We were also very lucky with the dives and what we were able to see. Muchas gracias chicos!!! I hope they get paid for their value 🤞🏽

Master Liveaboards Maldives Local Crew These guys made the trip memorable. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from helping with dive equipment to delivering cold drinks to the upper deck. They had everything covered but we seldom saw them doing it. Great team. Cabins & Comfort Cabins 101 & 102 (Lower Deck, Rear) — Very close to the engine room, so the generator runs loudly 24/7. You’ll also hear the water pump each time anyone uses water anywhere on board. Cabin 101 is directly under the stairs, making it even noisier with constant foot traffic. Sleep is a challenge here. Cabin 114 (Single, Upper Deck) — Has a wet bathroom, and the AC drains directly onto the floor, leaving it constantly wet and slippery. Itinerary & Early Return The boat returned to the main harbour 36 hours before disembarkation. When asked why, the answer was simply, “it’s just what we do.” This was very disappointing as we had already spent 1 night in port— we could have spent that time diving in the beautiful atolls, but instead we sat in port looking at the city and directly under the airport flight path while the flies quickly found us. Many guests were unhappy with this wasted time. Dive Masters & Grouping If you’re lucky enough to get one of the two local guides, you’ll have a great time — their site knowledge really enhances the dives. Our group had a very experienced dive instructor from Egypt because we were doing training, but most of the dive sites were completely new to him. This meant we missed out on valuable local knowledge that everyone else received. When I asked why dive masters weren’t rotated between the four groups of divers so everyone could benefit from the local expertise, I was told, “It’s easier on the dive masters this way.” That’s simply not acceptable when guests are paying a premium for the best possible dive experience. Pricing Tip Don’t pay too early — some onboard received 50% discounts close to the sailing date. Overall
The Maldives diving is spectacular, and this boat can deliver memorable dives — but only if you get a quiet cabin, a guide with local site knowledge, and the full itinerary you paid for. Returning to port 36 hours early and keeping local guides fixed to certain groups takes away from the trip’s value.

My first Liveaboard and I could not have been more pleased. Easy shuttle was pre-arranged to/from my hotel, and the boat and staff were amazing. The boat (The Phinisi) was stuning to look at, and interior was luxiourous hardwood floors. Rooms were a bit cramped for this 6'1" guy, but I was only in there to sleep (and shower/bathroom). Marco was an amazing host; and the staff bent over backwards to make this ship function. Meals were an event- every day we had a spread of local Thai foods, less-adventurous US fare, vegetarian options and oppulent desserts. Days were loosly: wake up, coffee and toast; first dive; full breakfast; second dive; lunch; third dive; afternoon snack; fourth dive; dinner. Each dive time was spaced about 2 hours apart and every dive was preceeded with full briefing. If there was one knock (and this is minor!) the boat was moved at night/evening and my cabin creaked a lot. But again this was not a big deal, more a minor inconvience. I would 100% recommend Master Liveaboard going forward and I cant wait to dive with them again.
