Data Ownership: Your Dive Data Belongs to You

We believe dive data should belong to the diver, not the app company. DiveOne is built on this principle from the ground up.

Where your data lives

Dive recordings are kept on your Apple Watch and iPhone by default. Account and web-planner features are separate consented cloud flows on DiveOne servers. If you enable HealthKit sync, Apple manages that data under their privacy policies.

Account optional for on-device tracking

You can use on-device dive tracking without creating an account, providing an email, or signing in. Account, planner, support, and beta-program features ask for explicit consent before storing cloud data.

Export your dive history

Export your dive history from the iPhone app as CSV. Each export contains the fields recorded for that dive — depth profile, timestamps, water temperature, duration, and mode. Backups can also be created and restored in UDDF and JSON formats. Once exported, the file is yours — keep it and use it in tools that accept these formats.

Deletion rights

Delete app data from the app and account-linked cloud data through account controls where applicable. Your data, your decision.
