Fotteyo Kandu
Overview
Fotteyo Kandu in Vaavu Atoll is widely considered the best channel dive in the Maldives. The incoming current brings crystal-clear water and attracts walls of grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and large Napoleon wrasse. Dramatic overhangs on both sides of the channel are festooned with vibrant soft corals. Advanced divers only — the currents can be powerful.
