FAQ

What certification do I need to dive at Cape Greco?

Many Cape Greco dive sites are suitable for Open Water divers, with shore-accessible caves starting at just 5 metres depth. The deeper canyon dives reaching 40 metres require Advanced Open Water certification. Several sites are also popular for Discover Scuba Diving introductory experiences due to the calm, clear conditions.

When is the best time to dive Cape Greco in Cyprus?

Cape Greco is diveable from March through November. The peak season is June to October, with water temperatures between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius and visibility regularly exceeding 30 metres. Spring and autumn offer cooler but exceptionally clear water. The area is exposed to easterly winds, so check conditions before heading out.

Can I shore dive at Cape Greco?

Yes, Cape Greco is one of the best shore diving locations in Cyprus. Several sites, including the popular Caves site, can be accessed directly from the rocky coastline. The sheltered nature of the bay provides calm conditions on most days. Boat dives are also available from nearby Ayia Napa and Protaras for the more remote sites.
