About this center

Volivoli Beach Resort is perched on the northern tip of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island, with direct access to the famous Bligh Water — a deep channel between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu that creates some of the most exciting diving in the South Pacific. Strong currents in the channel bring nutrient-rich water that feeds spectacular soft coral growth and attracts large pelagic species.

The resort's dive sites include dramatic pinnacles that rise from deep water to within a few metres of the surface, carpeted in vibrant soft corals in every shade of purple, pink, orange, and yellow. Sites like Mellow Yellow, Instant Replay, and Coral Garden are consistently rated among Fiji's best. Grey reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, and manta rays patrol the deeper waters, while macro life on the pinnacles includes nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses, and ornate ghost pipefish.

The resort offers PADI and SSI certifications, beachfront accommodation, and a dive operation experienced in managing the current-swept Bligh Water sites. Diving here requires reasonable experience — many sites are intermediate to advanced level due to currents.
