Starfish Diving Center

Starfish Diving Center has been a cornerstone of the Vrsar diving scene since 1996, operating from the campsite Porto Sole in this charming Istrian fishing village between Poreč and Rovinj. As an SSI Diamond Instructor Training Center — the highest SSI designation — Starfish sets the standard for diving education on the Croatian coast.

The center offers daily dives to over 25 different hotspots along the Istrian coast, including trips to legendary wrecks such as the Baron Gautsch and the Coriolanus. Guided dives for certified divers start from just 38 EUR, making it one of the most competitively priced operations in the region. Wreck dive trips are available from 102 EUR.

Starfish's SSI Diamond status means it offers the complete educational pathway from try-scuba experiences through technical diving courses up to instructor certification. The center's professional, multilingual instructors teach in English, German, Croatian, and Italian, ensuring clear communication and safe learning for divers of all nationalities.

The dive season runs from June through December, with peak conditions in summer offering water temperatures up to 25°C and visibility of 15-30 meters. The center's spacious diving boat provides comfortable transport to even the more distant dive sites, and full equipment rental is available for those traveling without their own gear.
