Spirit of Freedom

Spirit of Freedom is a premier Australian liveaboard vessel that has been delivering world-class dive expeditions to the Ribbon Reefs, Coral Sea, and remote sections of the Great Barrier Reef since 1990. The 37-metre motor yacht departs from Cairns and offers three, four, and seven-night itineraries that access some of the most spectacular and least-visited dive sites in the region.

The vessel's itineraries include the famous Ribbon Reefs, a chain of ten narrow reef structures running along the continental shelf edge that are renowned for their pristine hard coral gardens, dramatic walls, and prolific marine life. The Cod Hole, where enormous potato groupers swim directly up to divers, is a regular highlight. Coral Sea expeditions venture to Osprey Reef for its legendary shark dives and crystal-clear walls plunging into the abyss, with visibility that can exceed fifty metres on optimal days.

Spirit of Freedom accommodates 26 guests across a range of cabin categories from standard to premium staterooms. The vessel features a purpose-built camera room with charging stations and rinse tanks, a spacious sundeck with spa, and a comfortable saloon for briefings and relaxation. Up to five dives per day are offered, including guided night dives that reveal the reef's nocturnal inhabitants. Complimentary nitrox is included for certified divers, enhancing bottom times across all dives. The experienced dive crew provides thorough site briefings and maintains impeccable safety standards throughout every expedition.
