Scubafish

Scubafish occupies a unique position among Koh Lanta dive centers as the only PADI 5-Star operation based in Kantiang Bay on the island's southern coast. This location provides a significant geographical advantage for reaching the Andaman Sea's most prized deep-water sites, with Hin Daeng and Hin Muang approximately thirty minutes closer than from the northern departure points in Saladan.

The center specializes in three-dive day trips, maximizing water time by running a full morning and early afternoon schedule. A typical day might include two dives at Koh Haa followed by a third at a nearby site, or an extended expedition to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang with three dives across the two pinnacles. The extra dive per day represents genuine added value compared to the standard two-dive format offered by most Koh Lanta operators.

Kantiang Bay itself is one of Koh Lanta's most picturesque beaches, a crescent of white sand backed by jungle-clad hills and far less developed than the northern tourist areas. Scubafish partners with several of the bay's boutique resorts and beachfront bungalows to offer dive-and-stay packages that combine excellent diving with a peaceful tropical setting.

PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving through Rescue Diver are available, alongside popular specialties including Deep Diver, Nitrox, Night Diver, and Drift Diver. The Drift Diver specialty is particularly relevant given the current-swept conditions at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, where strong flows bring nutrient-rich water that attracts manta rays, whale sharks, and dense aggregations of fusiliers and trevallies.

The team includes German-speaking instructors, and the center maintains a full inventory of serviced equipment with nitrox available for certified divers. The relaxed southern-coast vibe attracts divers who prefer a quieter base away from Saladan's bustle while still accessing all the same world-class dive sites.
