About this center
Sardinia Divers is based in Alghero's historic port on Sardinia's northwest coast, providing access to the spectacular Capo Caccia marine reserve and some of the Mediterranean's most dramatic cave diving. The towering limestone cliffs of Capo Caccia extend underwater, creating a network of caverns, tunnels, and grottos that are among Italy's top dive experiences.
The area's crown jewel is the network of underwater caves including the famous Nereo Cave — the largest submerged cave in the Mediterranean, with chambers over 100 metres long and 30 metres high illuminated by natural light entering through multiple openings. Other sites include the Silver Branch cave with its crystal-clear blue water and spectacular stalactite formations, and open-water sites with walls covered in yellow gorgonians, red coral, and sponges.
The centre holds PADI and SSI certifications and offers courses in four languages. While cave diving requires advanced qualifications, many cavern entrances are accessible to Open Water divers. The marine reserve's clear waters (15-35m visibility) and dramatic topography make every dive memorable. Season runs May through November.
