Pro Dive Cairns

Pro Dive Cairns is one of the most established and highly regarded PADI 5-Star IDC dive operations in tropical North Queensland, with roots stretching back to 1983. Operating from a purpose-built facility on Spence Street in central Cairns, the center runs a fleet of custom-built liveaboard vessels that deliver multi-day expeditions to the outer Great Barrier Reef, widely considered among the most pristine reef systems on the planet.

The signature three-day, two-night liveaboard trips visit up to eleven different dive sites across the outer reef, including renowned locations such as Flynn Reef, Milln Reef, Thetford Reef, and Pellowe Reef. These outer reef sites offer superior visibility often exceeding thirty metres, dramatic coral formations, and encounters with reef sharks, sea turtles, giant clams, manta rays, and an extraordinary diversity of tropical fish species. Night dives reveal a completely different reef ecosystem with hunting lionfish, sleeping parrotfish, and bioluminescent organisms.

As a PADI 5-Star IDC Centre, Pro Dive Cairns delivers the complete range of professional-level training from Open Water through to Instructor Development Courses. The multilingual team includes instructors fluent in English, German, and Japanese. The on-site training pool allows confined water sessions before heading to the reef, and all courses can be combined with liveaboard trips for an immersive learning experience. Equipment hire includes the latest gear from leading manufacturers, and nitrox fills are available for enriched air certified divers seeking extended bottom times on the reef.
