About this center

Longest-running dive center on Koh Phi Phi since 1996. PADI courses, daily trips to Bida Nok/Nai, Shark Point, and King Cruiser wreck.

Princess Divers is the longest-running dive center on Koh Phi Phi, having opened its doors in Tonsai Village in 1996 and diving continuously through the island's dramatic changes including the devastating tsunami of 2004 and the subsequent rebuilding. This longevity has given Princess Divers an unmatched understanding of Phi Phi's underwater world, with institutional knowledge of sites, currents, and seasonal patterns accumulated over nearly three decades.

Tonsai Village is the heart of Koh Phi Phi Don, the only inhabited island in the Phi Phi archipelago. Princess Divers operates from a prominent shopfront in the village, making it one of the first dive centers visitors encounter when arriving by ferry. Daily boat trips depart to the area's renowned dive sites, with Bida Nok and Bida Nai — two limestone karsts south of Phi Phi Leh — serving as the primary destinations. These sites feature steep walls carpeted in soft corals, barrel sponges, and seafans, with resident blacktip reef sharks patrolling the deeper sections.

Shark Point, a pinnacle roughly midway between Phi Phi and Phuket, attracts leopard sharks that rest on the sandy bottom alongside dense fields of purple soft coral. The King Cruiser wreck, a ferry that sank in 1997, provides an exciting penetration dive with its structure now colonized by massive schools of snappers, batfish, and lionfish. Extended day trips to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang bring the possibility of manta ray and whale shark encounters.

PADI courses span the full recreational range from Discover Scuba Diving through Divemaster. The Wreck Diver specialty is especially relevant given access to the King Cruiser. Equipment is maintained regularly and nitrox is available. Princess Divers partners with guesthouses and hotels in Tonsai for accommodation packages, making it easy for course students to combine diving with the island's famous social scene.
