About this center

Most experienced dive operator at the Catalina Islands with 20+ years, based in Playa Flamingo, Guanacaste.

Pacific Coast Dive Center is the most established dive operation at the Catalina Islands, with more than 20 years of continuous experience in the Northern Pacific of Costa Rica. Located in the Centro Comercial Arenas in Playa Flamingo, the center provides premium access to the Catalina Islands, which are just a short boat ride away from their home port.

The Catalina Islands are renowned for their giant Pacific manta ray encounters, particularly during the rainy season from May to November when nutrient-rich water attracts these majestic creatures to cleaning stations around the islands. Divers also regularly encounter white-tip reef sharks, eagle rays, moray eels, sea turtles, and schools of tropical fish along the volcanic rock formations.

Pacific Coast Dive Center offers all levels of PADI certification courses, from introductory Discover Scuba Diving through specialty courses. Their experienced instructors know every dive site around the Catalina Islands intimately, having guided thousands of dives over two decades. The center provides full equipment rental, nitrox fills, and professional underwater photography services.
