About this center

Baa Atoll Manta Divers is strategically located near Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve famous for the largest known gatherings of manta rays. From June to November, up to 200 mantas aggregate in this tiny bay to feed on plankton blooms, creating an underwater ballet of unparalleled scale.

Note: diving is now restricted at Hanifaru (snorkel only), but the center accesses numerous nearby sites where mantas feed and clean. The Baa Atoll's thilas and channels offer excellent diving with healthy coral formations and abundant marine life year-round.

PADI and SSI courses from beginner through Divemaster. The house reef provides unlimited shore diving. Freediving programs allow guests to experience manta encounters on a breath. Photography workshops during manta season help capture these remarkable events. Nitrox fills available.
