Lanta Diver

Lanta Diver holds the distinction of being the oldest dive center on Koh Lanta, welcoming its first students in 1999 when the island was still a quiet backwater with limited tourism infrastructure. Now a PADI 5-Star Career Development Center, Lanta Diver has trained thousands of divers over more than two decades and produced numerous working dive professionals through its Divemaster and Instructor Development Course programs.

As a CDC, Lanta Diver offers the complete PADI education pathway from Discover Scuba Diving through to Instructor level. The Course Director on staff runs regular IDC sessions, attracting candidates from across Southeast Asia. Specialty courses include Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Nitrox, and Underwater Navigator. The center's long history means its instructors have unmatched local knowledge of current patterns, seasonal marine life migrations, and the best conditions for each site.

Daily boat trips depart from Saladan to Koh Lanta's signature dive sites. Koh Haa is the most frequently visited destination, with five separate dive sites offering everything from shallow coral slopes to deep caverns at Cathedral and the famous Chimney swim-through. Extended day trips to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang provide the chance to encounter manta rays and whale sharks in open water along dramatic walls that plunge below recreational depths. Koh Rok to the south offers pristine snorkeling and diving in gin-clear waters above healthy staghorn and table coral formations.

The center maintains a large inventory of well-serviced equipment and provides nitrox fills on site. Being the pioneer of diving on Koh Lanta, Lanta Diver has established strong relationships with local boat operators and marine park authorities, ensuring reliable logistics even during the busy high season months.
