About this center
Hilton Diving Center Taba operates at the northernmost tip of the Gulf of Aqaba, where Egypt, Israel, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia almost meet. The diving here is unique in the Egyptian Red Sea — the narrow gulf creates deep water close to shore, and the marine environment differs subtly from the southern Sinai.
The house reef at the Hilton Taba is accessible from the beach and offers a gentle slope with healthy coral formations. Due to the limited number of dive centers in Taba, these reefs see far less diver traffic than those in Sharm el-Sheikh or Dahab, resulting in excellent coral health and confident marine life.
Boat trips access sites along the Taba coastline and, conditions permitting, to the coral islands in the northern gulf. The underwater topography features dramatic walls and caverns sculpted by the gulf's unique geology. Macro photography enthusiasts find rich subjects in the numerous nudibranchs, pipefish, and ornate ghost pipefish.
PADI courses are offered in English and Arabic, from Discover Scuba through Advanced Open Water. The resort setting provides comfortable facilities including a pool for confined water training.
Taba's unique geography means that after diving, guests can see four countries from the resort's beach. The nearby Pharaoh's Island (Coral Island) with its Crusader castle adds a historical dimension. The area also serves as a gateway to Jordan's Petra and Wadi Rum, making Taba an excellent base for combined diving and cultural trips.
