About this center
PADI dive center on remote Fuvahmulah island, the world's premier destination for tiger shark diving with near-guaranteed year-round encounters.
Fuvahmulah Dive is a PADI dive center located on the remote island of Fuvahmulah in Gnaviyani Atoll, the southernmost single-island atoll in the Maldives. Fuvahmulah has rapidly become one of the world's premier destinations for tiger shark diving, with near-guaranteed encounters year-round. The island's unique oceanographic position creates upwellings that attract a remarkable concentration of pelagic species including tiger sharks, thresher sharks, oceanic manta rays, hammerhead sharks, and even whale sharks. Unlike most Maldivian diving which takes place inside atolls, Fuvahmulah diving is ocean diving along the island's outer reefs, offering a completely different experience. The center's experienced local guides know the best sites and conditions for each species. Due to the exposed ocean conditions and currents, diving here is recommended for advanced divers with a minimum of 50 logged dives. The island also offers a unique cultural experience as one of the most isolated communities in the Maldives.
