About this center

Premier dive resort on remote Guanaja since 1990 with beachfront cabins, pristine virgin reefs, and dramatic underwater topography.

End of the World Resort is Guanaja Island's premier scuba diving facility, established in 1990 on a private stretch of Hammond Beach on the island's southern shore. The resort lives up to its evocative name — Guanaja is the most remote of Honduras's Bay Islands, about 43 miles north of mainland Honduras and 8 miles east of Roatan, offering an experience of genuine seclusion in a Caribbean paradise.

The diving from End of the World Resort accesses Guanaja's spectacular and largely virgin reef system. Moored dive sites provide opportunities to explore shallow and deep reefs, underwater caves, canyons, volcanic vents, and walls that plummet from a mere 20 feet to more than 1,000 feet. The variety of underwater topography is exceptional, and the absence of heavy diving traffic means the reefs are in pristine condition with vibrant hard and soft coral coverage.

Equipment rentals are available on-site for divers who prefer not to travel with their own gear, including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, dive computers, and underwater cameras. The resort's dive operation follows strict safety protocols while maintaining the relaxed, personalized atmosphere that defines the End of the World experience.

Accommodation consists of private cabins and bungalows set along the beachfront, each with views of the turquoise Caribbean. The resort offers all-inclusive and dive-package options that combine accommodation, meals, and diving. The restaurant serves fresh seafood and local cuisine, and the beach bar provides the perfect setting for sunset drinks and dive debriefings. Reservations office open 8 AM to 8 PM CST.
