About this center
Emperor Divers Marsa Alam extends the trusted Emperor brand into Egypt's deep south, operating from Port Ghalib marina. Established in 2005, this branch brings Emperor's hallmark standards — small groups, free nitrox, and premium service — to the spectacular diving of the southern Red Sea.
Boat trips reach the region's world-class sites including Elphinstone Reef, one of the planet's premier shark diving destinations. Oceanic whitetip sharks patrol the reef's north and south plateaus, while hammerheads and occasional tiger sharks add to the spectacle. Shaab Samadai (Dolphin House) provides intimate encounters with resident spinner dolphin pods, and Abu Dabbab is famous for dugong and turtle sightings.
The Fury Shoals complex to the south offers pristine reef systems and wild dolphin encounters at Sataya reef. These extended boat trips provide access to some of the most untouched coral formations in the entire Red Sea.
Emperor's small group policy (maximum 4 divers per guide) is particularly valuable in the southern Red Sea, where current-swept sites like Elphinstone demand attentive supervision. Complimentary nitrox maximizes bottom time at these often deep and current-rich sites.
PADI courses are available in English, German, and French, from introductory levels through Advanced Open Water. Equipment rental features the same premium Aqualung/Apeks gear found at all Emperor locations. Photography support includes camera rental and dive guide assistance with framing and lighting.
