About this center
Diving Tenerife operates from the sunny south coast of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. The centre runs daily boat dives to sites along the Costa Adeje coastline, where volcanic rock formations create dramatic underwater landscapes of walls, pinnacles, and swim-throughs in crystal-clear Atlantic water.
Tenerife's signature marine life includes resident green sea turtles — encounters are virtually guaranteed at several sites. The volcanic topography shelters angel sharks resting on sandy patches, large cuttlefish, octopus, and colourful nudibranchs. Seasonal visitors include pilot whales and dolphins visible from the boat, with underwater sightings possible at deeper sites. The island's position in the Atlantic provides a unique mix of Mediterranean, tropical, and temperate species.
Courses are offered in four languages (Spanish, English, German, French) reflecting the island's international tourism profile. PADI certifications from Discover Scuba through Divemaster are available year-round. The calm, warm waters (19-25°C) and typically excellent visibility (15-30m) make Tenerife ideal for divers of all experience levels.
