CretanDivers

CretanDivers is a fully PADI-qualified diving center located in the beautiful coastal resort of Agia Pelagia, just 20 kilometers northwest of Heraklion, the capital of Crete. The dive base sits only 40 meters from the sea, on the main road of Agia Pelagia right next to the pharmacy, providing immediate access to the sheltered bay and its excellent dive sites.

Agia Pelagia's bay is naturally protected from prevailing winds, creating calm conditions ideal for diving throughout the season. The underwater landscape features a varied seabed of rocky reefs, sandy patches, Posidonia seagrass meadows, and small walls that drop off to moderate depths. Marine life is abundant and diverse, including octopus, moray eels, grouper, barracuda, nudibranchs, and frequent sightings of sea turtles.

The center offers PADI courses ranging from introductory Discover Scuba Diving experiences to Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, and specialty certifications. Fun dives for certified divers explore multiple sites around the bay and along the coast. Equipment is modern and well-maintained, and instruction is available in English, Greek, German, and French.

With starting prices from just 40 EUR for snorkeling experiences and introductory programs, CretanDivers is an accessible option for first-time divers and families. The relaxed atmosphere and protected bay conditions make it particularly welcoming for beginners and nervous first-timers. Boat trips extend the range to more remote coastal sites when conditions allow.
