Chania Diving Center

Chania Diving Center is a premier SSI-certified dive operation based in the atmospheric Old Venetian Harbor of Chania, western Crete. Founded in 2012, the center has rapidly established itself as one of the island's top diving destinations, specializing in small group experiences across more than eight spectacular dive sites along the northwestern Cretan coastline.

The center's information office sits in the heart of Chania's historic center, while the main dive base is located at Kounoupidiana, providing easy access to both shore and boat dive sites. The underwater landscape features dramatic wall dives, underwater caves and caverns, vibrant Mediterranean reef ecosystems, and several World War II-era wrecks that rest on the sandy seabed.

What sets Chania Diving Center apart is its comprehensive range of programs, from introductory Try Scuba experiences and snorkeling adventures starting at 68 EUR to advanced technical diving courses including trimix, cave diving, and rebreather training. The experienced instructors deliver courses in English, Greek, German, and French, catering to the diverse international clientele that visits Crete.

Equipment is top-tier and meticulously maintained. Boat trips depart to the best sites in the Chania area, including the Elephant Cave and the stunning reef formations off Agia Marina and Platanias. Night dives reveal octopus, moray eels, and bioluminescent organisms in the crystal-clear Cretan waters.
