About this center

Beqa Adventure Divers runs the world's most spectacular shark diving experience in Beqa Lagoon, just 30 minutes by boat from Pacific Harbour on Fiji's main island. This is the only dive in the world where you can reliably encounter up to eight species of sharks on a single dive — bull sharks, tiger sharks, sicklefin lemon sharks, silvertip sharks, grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and tawny nurse sharks.

The operation is built on a shark conservation model. The centre's Shark Reef Marine Reserve was the first locally managed marine protected area in Fiji, and the shark diving program directly funds reef patrols, community development, and marine research. The sharks are wild and free-swimming — this is not a cage dive but an open-water encounter where divers kneel on the sandy bottom as sharks cruise overhead.

Beyond shark diving, the centre offers soft coral dives on Beqa Lagoon's spectacular reef system, rated among the world's best for vibrant soft corals. PADI courses are available, and the centre's experienced team includes Fijian dive guides with intimate knowledge of the reef and its inhabitants.
