About this center
PADI/SSI dive center in iconic Oia village with 25+ years of caldera diving expertise. Boat dives from Amoudy Port to volcanic walls.
Atlantis Oia Dive Center operates from the iconic village of Oia, perched on the northern tip of Santorini's volcanic caldera. Founded by Apostolos Stylianopoulos, a PADI Master Instructor and the first Cousteau diving instructor in Greece with over 25 years of experience on the island, the center offers an unparalleled combination of expert knowledge and stunning dive locations.
The diving operation departs from Oia's atmospheric Amoudy Port, accessed by a scenic walk down from the village. A short 5-minute boat ride brings divers to Armeni Bay and other spectacular dive sites along the caldera cliffs. The underwater landscape here is purely volcanic — dramatic walls of lava rock, swim-through arches, collapsed volcanic formations, and crystal-clear Aegean waters with visibility frequently exceeding 30 meters.
As both a PADI and SSI center, Atlantis Oia offers dual certification pathways. Programs range from introductory SSI Scuba Diver courses starting at 130 EUR through to full Open Water Diver certification at 330 EUR and advanced programs. Guided dives for certified divers explore the most dramatic sections of the caldera wall, where the interplay of light, volcanic rock, and blue water creates an otherworldly atmosphere.
Co-owned by Apostolos and Marta Fortes Vilaltella, the center maintains intimate group sizes and a personal approach. Instruction is available in English, Greek, and Spanish. The setting itself — departing from one of the world's most photographed villages to dive a volcanic caldera — makes Atlantis Oia a truly unique diving experience in the Mediterranean.
