Ambergris Divers

Ambergris Divers operates from San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Belize's most popular dive destination with the Belize Barrier Reef — the second-largest barrier reef in the world — just 800 metres offshore. Daily two-tank dives visit sites along the reef where spur-and-groove formations, coral canyons, and sandy channels support an extraordinary diversity of Caribbean marine life.

The centre offers trips to the legendary Great Blue Hole, a 300-metre-wide, 125-metre-deep marine sinkhole that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most iconic dives. Inside the Blue Hole, stalactite formations at 40 metres depth are remnants of a dry limestone cave system, and Caribbean reef sharks patrol the deep blue water. Closer to home, the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley provide guaranteed encounters with nurse sharks and southern stingrays.

As a PADI 5-Star centre, courses range from Discover Scuba through Divemaster. The reef's proximity means short 10-minute boat rides to dive sites, and the Caribbean's warm, clear water (26-30°C year-round) makes diving comfortable and accessible for all levels.
