About this center
138-foot luxury liveaboard yacht offering 8-11 day Cocos Island expeditions for hammerhead sharks, mantas, and whale sharks.
Aggressor Adventures operates the Cocos Island Aggressor, a purpose-built 138-foot yacht designed for comfort, safety, and stability on the 33-hour crossing to Cocos Island National Park. As one of only two private operators permitted to dive Cocos Island, Aggressor brings decades of global liveaboard experience to Costa Rica's most remote and spectacular dive destination.
The Cocos Island Aggressor departs from Puntarenas and runs 8 to 11-day expeditions year-round. Divers enjoy up to four dives per day at legendary sites including Bajo Alcyone, where massive schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks congregate at a seamount, and Manuelita, where white-tip reef sharks carpet the rocky bottom. Other highlights include giant manta rays, whale sharks, silky sharks, dolphins, and the occasional orca.
The vessel accommodates 22 divers in air-conditioned staterooms with private baths. On-board amenities include a spacious salon, sun deck, hot tub, camera table with individual charging stations, and nitrox membrane system. The professional crew includes experienced dive guides who know Cocos Island's sites intimately. All meals and snacks are included, along with unlimited diving during the expedition. Advanced open water certification and a minimum of 50 logged dives are required.
