The wall starts at approximately 8 metres (25 feet) and plummets over 2,100 metres (7,000 feet) into the Turks Island Passage. Recreational divers typically explore to 30-40 metres, where the wall is covered in spectacular sponges, gorgonians, and black coral.

The wall runs along Grand Turk's leeward western coast and begins remarkably close to shore -- most dive sites are reached within a 5 to 10 minute boat ride. The majority of the 40 dive sites sit within the Columbus Landfall National Park.

Visibility at Grand Turk Wall consistently exceeds 30 metres and often reaches 40 metres or more. The deep oceanic water adjacent to the wall keeps conditions exceptionally clear. Combined with typically mild currents, this makes Grand Turk one of the finest wall diving destinations in the Caribbean.

Northwest Point combines protected marine reserve status with dramatic wall diving, exceptional visibility often exceeding 40 metres, and consistent encounters with sharks and pelagic life. The remote location at the western tip of Providenciales means fewer divers and healthier reefs than more accessible sites.

Northwest Point is about a 30-45 minute boat ride from the Grace Bay area, depending on sea conditions. The longer ride is one reason the site remains uncrowded and pristine. Most dive operators offer Northwest Point as a special trip, sometimes combined with other wall sites along the northwest coast.
