We chose Wunderpus mainly because of the excellent reviews it had received and it exceeded any expectations we had. We were updated via a group chat prior to the trip and from the moment we were met at the airport we felt very well looked after. The boat is in excellent condition (captain Jun and engineer Jasril), with all areas clean and well maintained (Andre and Ferdi). The crew could not do enough for us and the food was outstanding (chef Dus and Dion :)). There were both snorkelers and divers on the trip and everything was extremely well organised. Trips were carefully planned and the guiding excellent, catering to everyone's individual needs. As divers we never felt pressured during the dives which were very tailored to our needs, with a minimum dive time of 60 minutes. Feedback from the snorkelers was equally positive. As a dive instructor myself it was wonderful to see how happy the guides (Leri and Dedy) were in their job (speed boat captain Andry). The briefings were very detailed including beautifully hand drawn maps of each site. Guides were extremely considerate of wildlife and had good conservation practises. All equipment was great quality and well maintained. Komodo certainly lives up to its name of a World Class Diving Destination. We (my father and I) booked the 3-day trip. It may not be the cheapest option if you are travelling on a tight budget, but it offers excellent quality in all the areas that matter most. Thank you Mario for an excellent organised trip. We would fully recommend Wunderpus to both divers and snorkelers. A once in a lifetime adventure.

Wow wow wow…My husband and I private chartered The Mimic for 4 nights and 5 days recently. It was a toss up between their other boat The Wunderpus for a 3 night/4 day trip with others or to splurge a bit more for a private experience with the budget boat all to ourselves and to add another day and night. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. The extra night and day was a good call because we were able to do fit everything in without feeling rushed or wanting more. The crew handled ALL the details and heard our requests for the trip. Dolin is seasoned and is a master at understanding the currents, the visibility, and when to visit the dive sites to get the best experience. We did 15 dives in 5 days, visited Komodo Island, Pink Beach, did a sunset hike with a stellar view (avoided the crowded Padang island hike), and we had PLENTY of downtime to just CHILL on the bean bags or take the kayak for some paddling. My husband and I are experienced scuba open water divers however the majority of our dives have been in the Caribbean since we live in the USA. The long long flights and hours spent on 3 planes were so worth exploring Komodo National Park. The variety of the coral and the abundance of fish was mind blowing and so exciting. We had saw lots and lots of Mantas up close along with turtles, octopuses, white and black tip reef sharks, a massive variety of fish both large and small, and BEAUTIFUL abundant healthy coral. Dolin was very professional and made sure our needs were met while making sure we were always safe in the water and on the boat. I spent quite a bit of time researching operators and Wunderpus was at the top of the list and I can honestly say that what I read from the reviews is true. From my communication with Ed, to the time we were dropped off at our resort after our EPIC trip on The Mimic, was a smooth and wonderful experience that had me grinning ear to ear. I also need to mention the other 4 men on The Mimic did an amazing job too..the food was a 10 out of 10. I still am perplexed how the chef managed to whip up several dishes at a time in that tiny kitchen. The captain of the boat handled the navigation so well that neither of us got motion sickness. The other 2 helped make sure the ship stayed clean and helped out with the scuba equipment and so much more. Even sleeping on the upper deck was special as we were able to see both the sunset and sunrise each day. I was not sure how well I would sleep in the open air with no air conditioning and it was actually fantastic!! If you are thinking about booking a vacation with Wunderpus, please give yourself this gift and look no further. You get a more personalized than the boats with big groups of people. Their ratio even if you don’t charter the boat is much smaller than others. I cannot imagine seeing Komodo just by the fast boats either since it takes over an hour to get to a dive site from Labuan Bajo. We were usually the first ones at the dive site and rarely saw other divers thanks to Dolin’s strategic planning. I could go on and on about what a stellar trip this was for us but I believe by now you get I am super happy with choosing The Mimic for a scuba diving extravaganza!!!

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our dive guide Jeffrey was super chill, knew the sites extremely well and paid a lot of attention to the suitability of the tides and currents. We didn’t have much dive experience prior to this and felt very safe. He often arranged it so we were the first boat at the dive spots. The diving was unreal, we saw heaps of sharks, turtles, eagle rays, mantas, bump heads, gt’s and more… we opted for the budget option and stayed on the mimic which was unexpectedly large and comfortable, we enjoyed sleeping on deck. The food was excellent and varied for every meal. All of the staff were great, I really got the impression they cared a lot about their work. Definitely hope to take another trip with these guys!

A huge thank the whole Wunderpus crew for the unforgettable liveaboard trip! The Komodo dive sites were absolute magic and everything ran so smoothly, it really felt like nothing was ever too much. Special love to our dive guide Sarah! Her calm and expert guidance made us fall in love with diving all over again 💛 The whole crew was incredible. From whatsapping with Ed to do the (very very last minute 😅) booking to the wildly detailed dive site drawings of Alice to the taxi drivers that took us to from and to the hotel on the first and last day, it all was so professional! Our first liveaboard… definitely not the last! Until next time! 🤿🐙🐠🐡⚓️

Liveaboard of great value, well organized, and staff super helpful in any need. They have sets of holidays arranged perfectly in Komodo Marine Park, either for divers or snorkelers. Small groups (max 10 people) divided into 4 spacious, sparkling clean, cabins (2 doubles/2 triples), all with private bathroom. Punctual briefing on each diving trip, and plenty of things to see under water. On the boat spaces are well divided for rest, meals and nautical activities. Chef and sous-chef prepare delicious meals 4 times a day, with attention to allergies and food problems. Mario, our host, and diving instructor for the trip, was really caring and attentive, ‘pampering’ us for every request. Absolutely value for money.
