If you are looking for a unique dive experience, you should go to the Galapagos Islands. If you also want it to be exceptional from a human perspective, choose Calipso! The crew is the nicest possible: always ready to help, all of them. It really is one team: from captain to cook all are helping when we came back from the dives or when we left. Such a nice atmosphere.

Complete nightmare with this operator. We took a cruise on one of their other boats, the Estrella del Mar, in February 2024 and it crashed into Isabella Island on the second night. And by crash, I mean drove straight into a mountain of a rock, in calm seas and clear weather, for reasons never explained. We lost nearly $9,000 of belongings, which the company never returned or accounted for despite the boat being beached (and, I'm told, is still there today). At one point, the boat manager said that the boat sank despite it being so far up the beach that the Navy laughed at the idea. We never received a refund or any sort of compensation. The boat manager sent only $1800 out of the $4500 we paid to our travel agent (who we told the manager not to trust and the agent subsequently stole the funds). The company refused to justify the refund amount and CEO himself defended it by saying we had done tourist activities on the day of the crash. Yes, we mirrored the activities of the cruise that rescued us, but we were also forced out of bed at 04:00, sat in a zodiac for 2 hours waiting to be rescued, lost all our belongings, and had to spend another 4 hours in the dark on a small boat being driven back to port. There were other issues too. There was no safety briefing until a passenger asked. The briefing was short but included that an alarm would sound in case of an emergency. Reader: it did not. They switched the first day from being on the boat and bussed us around Santa Cruz island instead. I found the boat manager incredibly aggressive about the refund - he sent it to the agent 28 hours after the crash and blocked me on WhatsApp at the same time. The crash was bad enough, but they way it was handled made it so much worse and I would not recommend this company.

The most amazing liverboard i have ever done. The crew is fantastic and make you feel like family. The service on the deck is really nice. There is plenty of excellent food after every dive. About the dives, there is nothing you can’t see in Galapagos. A lot of endemic species and of course Galapagos sharks, hammerheads, mola mola, mobula, Eagle rays, dolfins… The dive guides are very professional and know very well the place . They Will try their best to find the whale shark in Wolf and Darwin.
