What wrecks can be dived at Saros Bay?
Several WWI-era vessels from the 1915 Gallipoli campaign lie in the waters around the peninsula. Accessible wrecks include transport ships and smaller naval vessels at depths of 15–35 m.
Are there any diving restrictions?
Some wrecks are designated war graves and are subject to diving restrictions. All divers must operate through licensed centres and respect the memorial nature of these sites. Artefact removal is strictly prohibited.
What is the water temperature like?
Saros Bay is cooler than Mediterranean Turkey, with water temperatures ranging from 15°C in early season to 24°C in August. A 5–7 mm wetsuit or drysuit is recommended outside peak summer.
