Roca Partida
San José del Cabo · Revillagigedo Islands · Mexico
Roca Partida is a tiny volcanic rock 350 km offshore in Mexico's Revillagigedo Islands (Socorro), and one of the world's most legendary big animal dive sites. Giant Pacific mantas with 4-6 meter wingspans approach divers with curiosity, schooling hammerheads patrol the deeper water, and whale sharks visit seasonally. The sheer isolation creates an oceanic crossroads where pelagic megafauna converges. Accessible only by liveaboard.
