Subex Marsa Alam

Subex is one of the longest-running dive operations on the Red Sea, established in 1986. The Marsa Alam branch benefits from one of the most pristine and biodiverse stretches of Egyptian coastline, where the southern Red Sea's warm waters support an extraordinary diversity of marine life.

Based at Coraya Bay, the center offers direct shore access to the famous Coraya Bay house reef, widely regarded as one of the finest house reefs in Egypt. The reef is home to resident dugongs (sea cows), turtles, octopus, and a dazzling array of reef fish. A gentle slope makes it accessible for all levels, while deeper sections attract more experienced divers.

Boat trips reach the offshore wonders of the Marsa Alam region, including Elphinstone Reef (famous for oceanic whitetip sharks), Shaab Samadai (Dolphin House), Abu Dabbab (dugong and turtle sanctuary), and Fury Shoals. These southern Red Sea sites offer encounters with large marine life rarely seen further north.

SSI training covers everything from introductory programs to professional levels, with courses in English, German, and Italian. Subex places strong emphasis on marine ecology education and environmental awareness, running marine biology courses alongside standard dive training.
