Roots Red Sea

Roots Red Sea operates from the stylish Port Ghalib marina, serving as a gateway to the spectacular southern Egyptian Red Sea. The center has built a strong reputation for small-group diving and personalized service since its founding in 2010.

Boat departures reach the southern Red Sea's most celebrated dive sites within reasonable travel times. Elphinstone Reef, with its legendary oceanic whitetip shark encounters, is a regular destination. Shaab Samadai (Dolphin House) offers magical encounters with resident spinner dolphins. Abu Dabbab provides reliable dugong and green turtle sightings. The remote Fury Shoals complex — including Sha'ab Claudio, Sha'ab Mansour, and the magnificent Sataya reef — offers pristine coral formations and wild dolphin encounters.

The center caters to both recreational and technical divers, with PADI and SSI courses available from beginner through advanced technical levels. Instruction is offered in English, Italian, and German. Technical diving programs include sidemount and deep specialties.

Roots places particular emphasis on underwater photography, offering camera rental, photo guidance during dives, and post-dive image editing assistance. The team understands that the southern Red Sea's big animal encounters deserve proper documentation.
