Red Sea Explorers

Red Sea Explorers is a premium liveaboard operator running safari-style dive trips from Hurghada to the Red Sea's most spectacular remote reefs. Since 2002, their fleet has brought divers to sites that are simply unreachable on day trips.

The signature itinerary is the BDE — Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone — a week-long safari that visits three of the Red Sea's most legendary dive sites. The Brothers Islands offer dramatic walls and schooling hammerhead sharks. Daedalus Reef, a lone pinnacle rising from the deep, attracts thresher sharks, oceanic whitetips, and massive schools of barracuda. Elphinstone's north and south plateaus are famous for close encounters with oceanic whitetip sharks.

Alternative routes include the northern wrecks itinerary (Thistlegorm, Abu Nuhas, Ras Mohammed) and the deep south route (Fury Shoals, St. John's reefs, Rocky Island). Each route offers a distinct underwater experience.

The fleet features well-appointed vessels with en-suite cabins, spacious dive decks, and onboard camera stations. Meals are included, featuring a mix of international and Egyptian cuisine. Dive guides are multilingual and deeply experienced with the open-water sites.

Nitrox is available on all boats. Full equipment rental can be pre-arranged. The liveaboard experience — 3-4 dives daily, dawn to dusk — provides an immersion in Red Sea diving that no shore-based operation can match.
