About this center

Island Divers Hawaii operates from Oahu's south shore, providing easy access to the island's best dive sites on the leeward coast. The centre runs daily two-tank boat dives to a variety of sites ranging from shallow reef dives perfect for beginners to deeper wrecks and wall dives for experienced divers.

The highlight is the Sea Tiger — a 52-metre Chinese trading vessel intentionally sunk as an artificial reef, now resting upright at 35 metres. The wreck is heavily colonised with coral and sponges, and is home to whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, and large schools of fish. Other popular sites include Turtle Canyon, where green sea turtles are guaranteed on every dive, and the Corsair — a WWII-era aircraft lying on a sandy bottom at 32 metres.

The centre offers PADI courses in English and Japanese, catering to Hawaii's significant Japanese visitor population. Shore dive options include Hanauma Bay and Electric Beach (Kahe Point), where warm water discharge from a nearby power plant attracts manta rays, dolphins, and turtles. The experienced team provides equipment rental, guided dives, and personalised instruction for all levels.
