About this center
Divers Lodge is an eco-friendly dive resort located at Marsa Nakari, a remote bay approximately 120 kilometers south of Marsa Alam. The lodge follows the Red Sea Diving Safari model of simple accommodation directly on the waterfront, with an outstanding house reef just steps from the chalets.
The Marsa Nakari house reef is considered one of the most pristine in the entire Egyptian Red Sea. The reef starts immediately from the shore with a gentle slope covered in diverse hard corals, dropping to a wall at around 10 meters that descends beyond 40 meters. Regular sightings include turtles, eagle rays, octopus, moray eels, and an extraordinary variety of reef fish.
Boat trips reach the famous Fury Shoals reef system, including Sha'ab Claudio (with its stunning tunnel and lagoon), Sha'ab Mansour, and the Sataya dolphin reef where encounters with large pods of spinner dolphins are virtually guaranteed.
The lodge itself consists of tented chalets and bungalows positioned along the beach, creating an intimate atmosphere far removed from the mass-market resorts. Meals are communal affairs in a central dining area, and the focus is entirely on diving and relaxation.
PADI courses are available in English, German, and Italian. The center's remote location means uncrowded dive sites and pristine conditions. Night dives on the house reef are spectacular, with Spanish dancers, hunting lionfish, and bioluminescence.
This is a destination for divers who prioritize quality of diving over luxury amenities — the underwater experience here is exceptional.
